despite the name, bug isn't actually great with bugs, bug gun is just the name that bug and friends give bug's favourite valorant gun skin, the araxys, and bug likes it so bug stole it!!
bug doesn't know many people on neocities so bug would love it if people visited and said hi, bug needs more indie web friends!
bug believes that a better future is possible for us even if the world is going through a lot right now, but change is only possible when people are willing to fight for change. bug is tired but bug wants to see a future where people aren't suffering and people see love more than hate.
that's why bug is on neocities because the current social media and news scenes thrives on negativity and bad news, so bug will make bug's own space, here.
sometimes its hard to remember that bug's a mammal, that its okay that bug doesn't feel productive and that bug is just trying to relax during the weekend, but it also doesn't help when feeling unproductive means that there is an underlying sense of anxiety even while bug is trying to do things that bug thinks will be relaxing and instead at the end of the day, bug just feels exhausted, you know?
bug remembers being different people. not like a previous life but bug remembers being changed, you know? when bug was 8, bug remembers being in the school cafeteria, watching other kids playing and realising that everyone has their own thoughts and worlds and bug will never truly know anyone else and no one will truly know bug.
when bug was 21, bug tried to use the office laminator to make little art pieces for bugs colleague but laminators aren't made for small papers and it got stuck and the laminator never worked the same again. bug remembers realising oh, this is what actions have consequences mean. bug could buy new laminator, bug could make new art, but that laminator wasn't fixable. sometimes when bug messes up, things are gone and that's it.
bug went to an orchestra concert recently and there were a lot of people who were speaking with american accents there. (bug is from a southeast asian country) bug used to study media so bug used to know many people who spoke perfect english. bug used to feel like a part of that community but as bug sat in the concert, bug realised that maybe, bug doesn't fit in with any community. bug wants to be a part of bug's local community, bug wants to know neighbours and share tools and take part in local events but bug also knows many people in bug's country would not understand bug if bug didn't hide who bug is. bug listens as others talk about transgender people (like bug!) like they're not the same kind of people, like people like bug only exists in people with good english and those who are too westernised. bug hopes home will one day like bug too
